About Unite Foundation

Transforming Bihar through education, empowerment, and sustainable development

Our Story

The Journey of Unite Foundation

From the soil of Kishanganj, Bihar, a vision was born — a vision filled with hope, dignity, and justice. A vision that sought to amplify the unheard voices and empower the unseen lives.

While Unite Foundation was officially registered under the Act 21 of 1860 in August 2024, with the purpose of working across the entire state of Bihar, its journey had already begun earlier. In May 2024, the Foundation started its work in the district of Kishanganj, stepping into the social field to address ground-level challenges.

Through deep engagement with local communities, we witnessed the urgent need for independent, committed action to solve the problems people face daily. This realization gave birth to the idea of the Unite Foundation — not just as an organization, but as a movement of empathy, justice, and collective change.

We didn’t wait for perfect conditions. We began with what we had — dedication, compassion, and courage.

Today, Unite Foundation walks alongside communities across Bihar — solving problems, inspiring change, and building a future where no one is left behind.

Primal Kumar Singh

"When problems are all around you, becoming the solution is the greatest act of courage."

Parimal Kumar Singh, co-founder of Unite Foundation, hails from Thakurganj Block in Kishanganj District, Bihar. A postgraduate by qualification, he has been actively engaged in the social development sector since 2014, focusing on education, health, and awareness initiatives at the grassroots level.

A major shift in his journey came during 2023–2024 while working with migrant laborers under the mentorship of Mr. Ajit Kumar Sah. Field visits exposed them to critical issues like child labor, exploitation, lack of women’s safety, and poor access to government welfare schemes.

Confronted with these challenges and limited by organizational constraints, Ajit Ji once said, “Why don’t we create something that allows us to work independently and help people without restrictions?” That conversation became the seed of Unite Foundation.

Co-Founder

Namita Kumari

"When a woman moves forward, the entire society moves forward with her."

Namita Kumari, co-founder of Unite Foundation, is a post-graduate deeply committed to advancing the rights, dignity, and empowerment of women. Her passion for social justice stems from witnessing the persistent inequality women face—child marriage, domestic violence, lack of education, and limited roles in decision-making.

Driven by a vision of a fearless, self-reliant, and equal society for women, Namita found her path through Unite Foundation. She leads initiatives focused on ending child marriage, promoting adolescent girls’ health and education, strengthening women’s leadership through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), addressing gender-based violence, and supporting women-led livelihoods.

Her unwavering vision:“To help build a society where no woman is afraid, silenced, or invisible—and where every girl and woman lives with freedom, equality, and respect.”
